About Me
My name is Bella Lee, and I’m running to lower your cost of living in Victoria. A lifelong resident and a renter, I have spent my career fighting to make sure no one gets left behind. I want to build a better Victoria. Better means a place where we take care of each other, where we can afford to live, where the communities are thriving, and our neighbourhoods are vibrant.
As a community leader I dedicated my time on the board of the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network, and Capital Bikes where I advocate for community spaces, and infrastructure to work for the people of Victoria. The best part of my week is volunteering with the Victoria Chinatown Lionesses Club, mentoring with Girl Guides of Canada, and serving food at Our Place, because I believe showing up matters.
As someone who has experience in the community and in politics, I know that I have what it takes to fight and win. I’ve run and won campaigns to lower your costs, and to make life better in our city:
Fought for our partners in the CRD to take on their share of costs for the homelessness crisis facing our City and region.
Campaigned for free contraception for British Columbians with Access BC saving people hundreds of dollars each year.
Championed the referendum for a new pool in our city with Let’s Get Crystal Clear to save a vital community amenity.
As someone who is looking at starting a family in the near future, I am worried about increasing costs of everything from housing, to transit, to infrastructure, and what that means for people and families across the city. People are being squeezed in every direction, and I will be a councillor that will fight to lower your cost of living every day.
Life in Victoria is too expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Vote Bella Lee for a better, thriving, and fun community.
